Time limits for making a claim for compensation
in child abuse cases.

There have been a number of discussions with mothers, parents and guardians concerning filing claims for financial compensation against local authorities, social workers, paediatricians who made allegations of child abuse ....And even teachers who have joined the melee and 'diagnosed ' medical conditions... Some of the teachers seem very hot on psychiatry. One hopes the expertise has not been the result of time spent in an environment similar to ' One flew over the cuckoo's nest'....Mind you, the jury is out on that one!

It needs to be appreciated that at the moment, children up to the age of 18 are able to make a claim.

Parents and guardians are not able to claim.

However, in the event that a malicious allegation of child abuse was made and can be proven, there is conflicting information of whether or not any time limit still applies.

The reason for the importance given to seeking compensation, is not merely the obvious legal remedy for the horrendous experiences as result of negligence or a malicious accusation; there is another feature that is conjoined with compensation.

A claim for compensation is likely to be heard in a 'real' court...Not the Mickey Mouse gulag of the Family Court. The press inhabit the 'real' courts'. The names of those who perpetrated perjury to effect a miscarriage of justice would be published, and this is likely to result in prosecutions and then further legal action to recover the compensation paid out by the local authority. So social workers, paediatricians and whoever has given false evidence in Family Courts, need to be keeping their fingers crossed and looking over their shoulders !

The recent case in which Justice MacFarlane 's awarded £500,000 in costs to parents, against a local authority, yet Ordered that the identity of the social worker and local authority not be disclosed, is we understand, going to be challenged....And what about the others?

Why is public money being paid out as a result of perjury committed by social workers and others ?...Yet no attempts have been made to claw the money back from the individuals who perpetrated the perjury.

Why is it alright for Lord Jeffrey Archer and Jonathan Aitken MP to be prosecuted and serve 4 and 3 years (approx.) in prison for perjury ? .....Both were Conservative Parliamentarians....Yet social workers and paediatricians /others, are being let off such prosecutions....Could it be that these persons are associated with Tony Blair's' Labour Party?

…END…
